Teknoware UK Limited was established in 2019 when Teknoware Group acquired the entire shareholdings of Invertec Holdings Ltd, which owned Invertec Interiors Ltd in the UK and Inverter Technology Asia’s two sites in Malaysia. Founded in 1980, Invertec was an established manufacturer of train, bus and coach lighting and interior panels in both Europe and Asia.
Teknoware’s UK premises are located in Trimdon Grange in North East England. The site was originally founded in 1960 as a bus depot for the region. Since 1980, it has been used for manufacturing specialist components for the bus and rail industry, originally by Volante, which was acquired by Invertec in 2006. Since the production facilities became part of Teknoware Group, the site’s manufacturing capability and branding have been updated to meet Teknoware’s requirements and standards.
