Teknoware Asia’s Malaysian factory manufactures lighting and interior solutions for rolling stock and road vehicles. For both new-build and refurbishment projects, every solution is tailored to meet the specific individual requirements of each customer.

A core strength of Teknoware Asia is its electronics manufacturing expertise, which is continuously being developed and expanded. Recent major investments include modern SMT and conformal coating lines. These facilities also enable the production of extra-long LED cards of up to 1.5 metres, which can be utilised in Teknoware Rail & Road projects worldwide.

The unit also specialises in shaped ceiling and sidewall panels for buses. The high-pressure laminates (HPL) manufactured at the facility are lightweight, highly durable, and designed for a long service life.

Projects delivered by Teknoware Asia can be found across Asia and Australia, including in such cities as Delhi, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, and Melbourne, as well as further afield in São Paulo and Cairo.

An energetic team in Malaysia serving customers across Asia

Teknoware Asia’s factory is strategically located at the heart of the city’s market area in Iskandar Puteri, Malaysia, just across the border from Singapore. With a population of more than half a million, the city is a rapidly growing economic hub and the administrative centre of the state of Johor.

More than 50 professionals work at the Malaysian facility, with over half employed in production and production support functions. The unit also has its own project department, ensuring comprehensive customer service. The team is young, multicultural, and close-knit, with regular shared lunches and social events that foster a strong sense of community.

Sustainability is integral to everything Teknoware does. Teknoware Asia’s charitable initiatives focus on supporting local communities in Malaysia and include a long-standing partnership with a local primary school. Teknoware Asia has also joined the United Nations Global Compact, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.
