Teknoware USA’s modern production facilities in the United States
Teknoware’s North American operations were launched in 2012, when Teknoware Inc. acquired the business of Trans-Lite Inc. and continued the production of rail transit vehicle lighting.
Teknoware’s predecessor was itself founded in 1959, when Trans-Lite Inc. was established through an acquisition. The enterprise began to develop and expand its vehicle lighting business through several purchases, including businesses making destination signs for buses and subway cars, in the 1960s and 1980s. The company faced the 1990s with a generational change.
In 2018, Teknoware USA moved into new production facilities when operations were relocated to 673 Century Circle, Conway, South Carolina. The modern production facility employs more than 70 lighting professionals, and has given us better possibilities to serve our customers efficiently and reliably, both now and in the future. The plant, which has an IRIS / ISO22163 certificate, is fully operational and has made numerous deliveries to customers all around the United States.
