CrossCountry Voyager Fleet Refurbishment, United Kingdom
Teknoware UK is contributing to Alstom’s extensive refurbishment programme of CrossCountry’s Voyager fleet in the United Kingdom. The modernisation project covers 70 train sets and a total of 312 rail cars, with the aim of enhancing passenger comfort and extending the service life of the fleet.
Part of the project involves Teknoware refurbishing the existing centre ceiling panels, including structural repairs and the application of new customer-specified surface finishes. Teknoware is also supplying new LED inserts for the vestibule areas and wall wash lights, which will improve the quality of lighting and freshen up the appearance of the train interiors.
The first refurbished train was unveiled in 2026, and the programme is progressing steadily with refurbishment work continuing until mid-2027.
